Cost-effectiveness analysis

of the reconditioning according to XADO-technology
at "Yuzhnyi Integrated Mining and Dressing Works" Plc.:


Reduction gear drives of No.7KT and No.8 KT conveyers of C2H-500 type at Crushing Plant DF01

  1. Initial data (prices less VAT):
    1. The repairs according to XADO-technology of the reduction gear drive cost S1=20.682 UH.
    2. The routine repairs of the reduction drives (replacement of the gear train assembly of the first reduction stage in 3 months) cost S2=40.448 UH.
    3. Costs of assemblies and parts of the reduction gear drive, which have to be replaced according to the service instructions due to the presence of pits over more than 50% of the surface (in fact - more than over 80%) S3=20.680 UH.
    4. Current demand decrease dP=4%;
    5. Rated capacity of the drives P=360 KW;
    6. Tariff per 1 KW/h C=0.13 UH.
    7. Reduction gear drive operation time T=3.000 h
  2. Cost-effectiveness analysis:

    Aggregated annual economic effect: EFFECT=dR + dE, where

    1. dR - effect due to restoration of the technical characteristics;
    2. dE - effect due to electric power savings;
    3. dR = (S2+S3)-S1= (40.448+20.680)-20.682=40.446 UH.
    4. dE = P * dP * T * C = 360 * 0.04 * 3.000 * 0.13 = 5.616 UH.

    Thus, EFFECT=dR + dE = 40.446 + 5.616 = 46.062 UH.


Internal combustion engine on TM2YM-941 diesel locomotive

  1. Initial data (prices less VAT):
    1. The repairs according to XADO-technology of the internal combustion engine (ICE) on the diesel locomotive cost S1=15.975 UH.
    2. The costs of the scheduled repairs of the ICE in 2000, if the whole diesel locomotive is repaired in the workshop, amount to S2=62.000 UH.
    3. Fuel consumption was reduced by 15%. The average fuel consumption per day is 200 l.
    4. Operation time of the diesel locomotive - 23 h per day.
    5. Diesel fuel price per 1 liter C=1.5 UH.
  2. Cost-effectiveness analysis:

    Aggregated annual economic effect: EFFECT=dR + dE,where

    1. dR - effect due to restoration of the technical characteristics;
    2. dE - effect due to electric power savings;
    3. dR = S2+S1=62.00-15.975=46.025 UH.
    4. dE = 200 * 0.15 * 365 = 10.950 ë * 1.5 ãðí =16.425 UH.

    Thus, EFFECT=dR + dE = 46.025 + 16.425 = 62.450 UH.


EKG-10 power shovel No.7 at the mine

  1. Initial data (prices less VAT):
    1. Costs of the repairs according to XADO-technology of the lifting hoist, reduction gear drives of swing and pushing mechanisms totaled S1=35.247 UH.
    2. Costs of assemblies and parts, which have to be replaced according to the service instructions due to the presence of pits over more than 50% of the surface (in fact, more than over 80%):
      • lifting hoist S2=40.046 UH;
      • swing reduction gear drive S2=47.866 UH.
  2. Cost-effectiveness analysis:

    Aggregated annual economic effect: EFFECT=(S2 + S3)-S1= (40.046 + 47.866)-35.247 = 52.665 UH.
